Jared has abackground in Product Design Engineering from the The Glasgow School of Art. He has been involved with the school for the last 27 years except 1 year, when he was working in engineering for a wheel chair manufacturer in Dundee. He has been the Production Manager of the Commercial Team at SimVis for around 15 years, managing projects in 3D computer modelling, animation and 3D laser scanning survey.

He is a laser scanning and 3D Visualisation specialist and has scanned numerous buildings of cultural significance including the Mackintosh Building after the 2018 fire.
