Paul is a Professor of Medical Visualisation and Human Anatomy & Director of Innovation, Engagement and Enterprise in the School of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing at the University of Glasgow. An internationally recognised expert in biomedical visualisation and applications of technology in education and research & Series Editor of the Biomedical Visualization book series with Springer Nature.

He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Fellow of the Institute of Medical Illustrators (FIMI).
